In this course, Gen Nyingpo will explain how we can develop a sustainable meditation practice. She will draw on Buddhist explanation of joyful effort or energy. We will discover ways to cultivate and maintain positive mental energy, overcome discouragement, and enhance the effectiveness of our meditations.
June 3 – The power of the mind: harnessing energy through mantra
June 10 – Cultivating positive energy
June 17 – Boosting energy through aspiration and steadfastness
June 24 – Enhancing energy with joy and meaningful relaxation

Meditation is becoming increasingly recognized as an effective means to reduce stress and improve our quality of life, however it also has much deeper and far-reaching benefits that have been understood by Buddhist practitioners for thousands of years.

Each class consists of two guided meditations and instruction. Anyone can practice meditation and everyone is welcome to attend.
