Sometimes we need a little space from the busyness of daily life.
Staying at Kadampa Meditation Centre offers a rare opportunity to enjoy quiet surroundings, a supportive spiritual atmosphere, and time for reflection in the heart of Reading.


Guest Stay

  • A comfortable en-suite guest room for short visits.
  • Single bed with fresh linen and towels
  • En-suite bathroom
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Tea-making facilities

Minimum stay: 2 nights


Personal Retreat

Spend a few days, or longer, stepping away from busyness for quiet reflection or meditation.
During your stay, you may:

  • Use the meditation room (when available)
  • Enjoy space for meditation and study.
  • Attend meditation classes

Become a Resident

Live at the Centre as part of a Buddhist community dedicated to inner peace and harmony.
Residents attend a weekly meditation class and offer a few hours of help each week, supporting the Centre’s activities.
Short and long-term stays are available.


Important Information

To support a peaceful environment, the Centre is:

  • Vegetarian
  • Alcohol-free
  • Non-smoking
  • There is no television, and loud noise is discouraged.
