COURSE SESSIONS
1. DEATH AND IMPERMANENCE — Sunday 4th January
We often take our life for granted, but reflecting on its fragility brings incredible focus and appreciation. In this session, learn how meditating on impermanence awakens a sense of purpose, dissolves procrastination, and encourages us to make the most of every day.
2. SEEKING INNER PROTECTION — Monday 5th January
Buddhism teaches that genuine protection comes from within. Discover what it means to “go for refuge” and how refuge becomes a stable foundation of inner peace.
3. KARMA — Tuesday 6th January
Everything we experience arises from causes and conditions. By understanding karma—the law of cause and effect—we gain the power to change our future. Learn how positive actions lead to happiness, while harmful actions bring problems, and how to create your future self through skillful choices.
4. THE FOUR NOBLE TRUTHS — Wednesday 7th January
The Buddha’s first teaching explains the nature of suffering, its causes, and the path to freedom. This session offers a profound yet practical guide for understanding our life and beginning genuine spiritual transformation.
5. UNDERSTANDING THE ORIGIN OF PROBLEMS AND SUFFERING — Thursday 8th January
Buddhism teaches that suffering arises from disturbed states of mind such as anger, attachment, and ignorance. Learn how to identify these inner causes clearly and how meditation helps us overcome them.
6. A FRESH PERSPECTIVE — Sunday 11th January
Much of our unhappiness comes from the way we interpret our experiences. In this session, explore how developing new, positive ways of thinking can transform challenges into opportunities for growth, resilience, and peace.
7. GOOD HEART — Monday 12th January
A good heart—kind, warm, and patient—is the foundation of all happiness. Learn how to nurture this beautiful quality through meditation and daily practice, and discover how it improves relationships and enriches your life.
8. WISHING HAPPINESS — Tuesday 13th January
Love, in Buddhism, is the sincere wish for others to be happy. Discover meditations that open the heart, reduce irritation and loneliness, and bring great joy and energy to your life.
9. BECOMING A FRIEND OF THE WORLD — Wednesday 14th January
In this session we will learn how to develop the supremely compassionate good heart, known as Bodhichitta, or the mind of enlightenment. By developing Bodhichitta and practicing the 6 perfections which are the inner path leading to enlightenment, we become a bodhisattva or “Friend of the World”
10. WISDOM AND FREEDOM — Thursday 15th January
Wisdom helps us see things clearly, free from confusion and negativity. The wisdom understanding the true nature of things will enable us to attain real mental freedom.

Meditation is becoming increasingly recognized as an effective means to reduce stress and improve our quality of life, however it also has much deeper and far-reaching benefits that have been understood by Buddhist practitioners for thousands of years.
The benefits of meditation include:

Each class consists of two guided meditations and instruction. Anyone can practice meditation and everyone is welcome to attend.
