Celebrating Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche’s Birthday

Join Kadampa practitioners around the world for this special day when we celebrate the birthday of our Spiritual Guide, the Founder of our Centre and of the New Kadampa Tradition, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.

June 4th is also Turning the Wheel of Dharma Day, the anniversary of Buddha’s first teaching in this world.

We remember every day the great kindness of Venerable Geshe-la, and on this auspicious day, with minds of rejoicing and gratitude, we will offer him our faith through using the special prayer Request to the Holy Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso from his Faithful Disciples and collecting our Guru’s name mantra in a one day retreat.

In each session there will be half an hour of silence to recite Venerable Geshe-la’s name mantra.
